Pictures of Edinburgh #2#
Tonight it was quite weird. Roles changes, as you know. My host mum(Christine- 50 years I guess) has a boyfriend ( 40 years). She had an appointment with him. I was in my host-bedroom doing my staff when she knocked my door:
- How I looked? Do I dress too young? Is it too see-trought?
Definitely It was too see-trought, so I suggested to change it for a top. Then she looked beautiful and fashionable as well. The phone rang. It was John. He was tired and he didn't go to the center, so he suggested to stay at his home and see a DVD.
Christine was quite angry but she decided to go. She asked me :
- Should I change my clothes?
- No, you look nice to go to the city center or at his house
- But he lives with his parents, and they will be there.
- oooh... so then it's not appropriated
- yes, true.. what do you suggest?
- something casual it will be great
- Yeah, good suggestion!
And she changed the clothes for second time. She knocked the door again:
- Should I bring a bottle of win?
- aahh.. Did they invited you to have dinner?
- no, they have already eaten
- then.. maybe it's not a good idea, do they like wine?
- actually, I have never met them before..
- ooh.. so, definitely it's better that you don't bring anything for the moment
- Great! thanks !
o.m.g ( Oh my god) Me given advice to a 50 years women about clothes, and meeting boyfriend's parent.. quite funny isn't? I liked so much, I mean, women's life are changing and families are not families are in the past was supposed to be perfect. She is divorced , as 70% of her friends ( quite scary, isn't it?). she said too me : you know.. man always prefers younger women.
But they still lovely , independent, young looking, good mothers, good at work, that's the 21 century and here we are, ready for every challenge. That's called Girl Power, isn't it?
